OneDrive Storage increased announcement

Microsoft has announced an increase in the available storage for everyone.  Before the announcement everyone was allowed 7Gb, it is now 15gb for everyone.  In April Microsoft announced Onedrive for Business subscription would now have a 1Tb limit .  This offer will now be available with all Office 365 subscription.

Finally there is also an announcement that the storage pricing will be dropped by 70%.  If you are not an Office 365 user, you can still buy cloud storage.  The new monthly prices will be $1.99 for 100 GB (previously $7.49) and $3.99 for 200 GB (previously $11.49).

All of these updates will take effect in the next month. For current subscribers, you are all set, you’ll automatically be moved to the lower prices.

OneDrive control improved with Windows 8.1

Microsoft has recently released an update for OneDrive in Windows 8.1 that allows you to trigger a sync or pause an in-progress sync right from the system tray.
